A party starts with a room

Quick answer

Parties at The Town Tavern are booked room by room. Copley is at 125 Montrose W Ave on (234) 466-0227, Green at 1840 Town Park Blvd in Uniontown on (330) 896-4433. Standard tables go through each room's Toast reservations link; for a larger group, ring the house directly.

There is no central events desk to go through, and that is a feature. Whoever takes your call is standing in the room you are asking about and can look at the floor while you talk.

Booking

Start with geography. If your guests are coming from the Montrose side of Akron, book Copley. If they are coming up from Uniontown, Green is the shorter drive for most of them. Both houses run the same kitchen, so nobody is trading food quality for a postcode.

For an ordinary table, the fastest route is the Toast reservations link belonging to that room — Copley's storefront is filed under Town Tavern Montrose, Green's under Town Tavern Green. It takes the booking straight into the floor plan rather than onto a message pad.

For anything larger than a normal table, use the phone. Copley answers on (234) 466-0227 and Green on (330) 896-4433. Tell them the date, the head count and the rough window you need, and let the room tell you what it can do — the two floors are laid out differently and the honest answer depends on the night you pick.

Bring the menu into the conversation early. A group that wants the wing sauces and the Bavarian pretzel is a different order to a group that wants the filet, the strip steak and the cedar plank salmon, and the kitchen plans very differently for each.

Head count is the first thing the room will ask you, and the honest number helps everybody. A group that says eight and arrives as fourteen has just changed the shape of somebody's evening. Give the floor the real figure, plus the two or three things that matter most to you about the night, and the answer you get back will be one you can plan on.

How to order

Food for a party comes off the same printed tavern book as any other night: shareables and dips, Jumbo Tavern Wings in a dozen-plus house sauces, prime burgers, handhelds, the Fresh Catch board and desserts. Look through the Copley menu or the Green menu before you call so you can name what your table actually wants.

Green also keeps Uber Eats and Grubhub listings, which occasionally matters for the part of the group who cannot get out of the office. Copley's online links are reservations and ordering through Toast. Neither room publishes a fixed party package here, so the phone call is the place that gets settled.

When to come

Both rooms open at 11am Monday to Friday and at 9am on Saturday and Sunday, and both go until 2:30am. That late finish is what makes a Town Tavern party easy to plan: an early group can hand the table over to a later one without anybody being pushed towards the door.

Weekend mornings are the quietest stretch either room sees, which is worth knowing if you are organizing something that wants conversation rather than volume. Holiday weeks can shift the timetable, so confirm the date with the house when you book it.
